Tbf the child with lice should b kept off till they have all gone n the class should b deep cleaned. If steps aren't taken to provide and safe and healthy environment for ur child u shouldn't have to pay for the days ur having to keep ur child off due to the daycares problem.

@Alison apparently here on this Canadian website that a kid shouldn’t be excluded from class because of head lice

Thats crazy as they will just spread them to everyone.

Sorry you’re dealing with lice, but unfortunately it’s a risk of kids that are around other kids. I agree kids with lice should stay home till treated to keep the spread under control. here are the key steps to take: 1. Confirm the presence of lice by checking the scalp, particularly around the ears and neck, for live lice or nits (lice eggs). 2. Treat the hair with over-the-counter lice treatments like shampoos or lotions that contain permethrin or pyrethrin. Follow the instructions carefully. 3. Comb the hair with a fine-toothed nit comb to remove lice and nits. Do this every 2-3 days for at least two weeks. 4. Wash bedding, clothing, and personal items your child has used in hot water and dry on high heat to kill any remaining lice. 5. Prevent reinfestation by checking the whole family for lice and encouraging children not to share
