@Saima when did you apply? I’ve literally done mine today. Luckily, we have a meeting with our nursery soon to discuss funding, so I’ll hopefully be able to get some answers then!
I filled the application in anyway and received a letter in the post and they gave me a number to call for my code before the 31 days xx
I just did mine last week because the nursery told me to apply in September! Sounds good hope you get some clarity! It’s not half confusing 🫠
You don't need to apply this early if they're starting in Jan as you need to renew the code every 3 months any way. I got the code but my nursery doesn't want it till Dec so they can do them all at the same time. You can't get the code if your outwith 30days of returning to work x

Apply then you will receive a letter confirming your application with or without the code. If letter doesn’t have the code it will direct you to go back online and conclude the application, then you will receive the code. Tell nursery you have applied, show them the letter. Good luck!
Our nursery said to complete the forms so they could work out budgets but to give them the code later when I can access it
Commenting as I’m in the same situation! My son will go from the Jan intake and I’m due to return to work on 28 Jan but it also said pending! I would suggest ringing the nursery to see if they can help, I’ve emailed mine and when I hear back il pop it on here x
