Okay mothers of multiples that have a spouse. Do yall have a "kid car" or do all of your cars have multiple car seats? Or do you switch carseats between the multiple cars?

I have the mom car with the baby carseat base and boosters. Dad has the other car with only booster seats (baby is breastfeeding and needs me 24/7 anyway)

For the first 2 years, we had a toddler and was pregnant with our second. We had one car seat and swapped between cars until baby #2 was born. I upgraded to a 3 row suv in case we had a 3rd. My husband kept his car. We had 2 car seats, a newborn and a front facing. We had a spare car seat in mom’s car. Hubby was involved in car accident last year which allowed us to get our second 3rd row suv and I have a spending habit lol and kiddos were being watched by grandma so I found another grow with me car seat that is for newborns to double digits. We have 2 of those now, a car seat, a toddler only front facing and another car seat. We stay home now, but have enough seats for both cars. 😁 probably didnt help much, but I’d say if you can afford it, have enough for each car, but if not, keep swapping them around. What helped is one car seat attached to our evenflo double stroller. Always have that car seat with us in whichever car. will be getting a wagon soon, so car seat type won’t matter.

At one point we only had one. But when we upgraded my older son we found one that switched between harness and booster seat and then kept the old ones for my partners car

We got a cheaper one for my husband as well for my older son so now we have car seats in both cars. We waited for Black Friday sales and picked the seat in advance. Some sites give discounts for buying multiple or spending a certain amount.

But for my husbands car we never got an infant seat. Just did the all in one and re-used our old infant seat in my car. Most seats have infant inserts for the convertible car seat so you can use that for years that way

We have 2 kids and we both have 2 car seats in our cars. When they were babies we didn’t have 2 infant seats, just moved that between as needed. But now they’re both in toddler seats is easier to have them in both cars so we’re never stuck

We have 3 and 1 on the way 2 no car seats so in each vehicle we have a toddler carseat and for the new born the base will be in my car "family car" and the actual seat will just be bucked in if he will take the kids which wont be very often normally if were out n about together were in my car but occasionally he might do pick up from the sitter which he would just buckle the infant seat useing the seat belt in his truck ..... once the infant is out of the infant seat we will probably have another seat put into each vehicle which I would upgrade my toddlers seat to accommodate her size when that time comes

Originally we bought 2 seats for my first. Infant carrier and a convertible. The convertible was in my car- most likely to use. Then when I got pregnant we bought a second convertible. So infant base in both cars with 1 carrier and toddler seat in both. Baby got too big so he took both convertible seats and the toddler is big enough to have a high back booster which are much cheaper so we got 2 of those

When I was pregnant and expecting the second we got a newborn seat that had the bases, so there was one newborn car seat and a base in each car. I more so have the mom car now that they’re older we got a minivan but there’s car seats for both kids in both cars.

@Katie see my only concern with multiple seats in both vehicles is that just seems like a lottttttt lol. But I guess what difference does it make if we already both have one in the car already

We had equal number of car seats for both cars

Tried to do the whole switch car seat thing between cars…. Pain in the ass. We now just take our SUV everywhere we go which has both car seats

My car has the seats. If he takes the kids he takes my car. We swap the cars not the seats!

My oldest is in a booster seat.. he’s 6 and we both have one in our car. But the baby seat, we both have a base to the seat, but just one seat

@Nyla I know in my experience being a tired busy mom I wouldn't always buckle the carseat up to the max quility everytime if I had to take it in n out everytime and that would be the time an accident would happen and Id never forgive myself .... lately Iv seen so many young 1 yr olds in forward facing seats n my soon to be 2 yr old is still rear facing and will stay rear facing until she maxs out on height or weight
