Placenta capsules

Do you really believe Placenta capsules are beneficial? I'm having a hard time believing the hullabaloo. People will make the argument that animals eat it. (They don't eat it for "benefits") they eat it to keep predators away. Animals don't look at the after-birth and think mmm yum I'm going to eat that for the "benefits." Plus the process to encapsulated the placenta probably removes whatever "nutrients" is in there. You're literally boiling/steaming it, then dehydrating the crap out of it and blending it into a powder. Seems dumb to me

I mean animals eat plenty of things we’d never consume, like dead things 😅 lol when I looked into it, I heard from an OB that the placenta acts like a “filter” for the baby and by eating it, you’re consuming all the things that your body filtered out in the first place. That was enough reasoning for me to say no thanks 🤷🏽‍♀️

as Mariah has said, it’s a filter, it’s also an organ, I wouldn’t have my liver removed and then choose to consume it, there’s no scientific evidence that it’s beneficial from research I have done

Auto cannibalism has never appealed to me

Placenta is technically a waste product. It’s a filter for all the nasty stuff baby did not need. I cannot see an actual benefit that could come from consuming it

It has been beneficial to my ppd and hormone levels

@Dominyque how do you know that? Could just be a placebo effect.

Its called a doctor constantly checking and measuring my hormone levels and I haven’t tried to kill myself or my baby

@Dominyque trying to kill yourself or your baby is not the only symptom or outcome of ppd darl

@Beth no duh but a big piece
