Episiotomy stitches
Hey ladies, the stitches at one end of my episiotomy cut have loosened and the 2 sides of the cut have separated at that end. I've had the midwife examine it, and she's not concerned, just told me the 2 sides will come back together as the cut heals... but will they? What if it heals weird? Has this happened to anyone and did it turn out ok?

I had a grade 2 tear and had to get the midwife to look at my stitches as I was so worried about what I saw. Basically looked like everything had come undone. She said that everything was healing beautifully and basically heals from the inside out so sounds very similar! Just hoping that is the case 🫣 xx

I had something similar to this. I had an episiotomy and i had a catheter, the catheter loosened my stitches. My midwife also said she wasn’t worried and said it would heal just fine. It’s all healed now and looks perfectly normal, just the healing process is a little bit more painful (in my opinion)
