Scan for follicle growth

Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone has been pregnant from a 11mm follicle?

I too have same scenario. On cd12, it’s 11 mm.Follicle need to be 18-20mm in order to ovulate. My gyn asked me to take another scan on cd16 to check the growth. Which cycle day were you when you measured 11mm?

Cd12 also!! But my dr gave me an ovidrel injection which induces ovulation

Hoo I just started letrozole. My doc wanted to wait and see

Did you ask why you would do ovidrel with a follicle of that size? I was told it has to be over 16mm to ovulate

@Chloe yes I did ask… and the receptionist just told me the dr instructed me to take it like that.

@Chloe also, on one side I have a follicle of 25mm and the other side is 11mm. Probably should’ve mentioned that initially.

Ahhh that makes so much more sense haha. So the 11mm is unlikely to ovulate. But the 25mm should! Good luck 🤞✨️

@Chloe thank you so much 😊 so then the 11mm is highly unlikely? I was thinking if I have a higher chance. The 25mm is likely to ovulate ?

Yes correct, the 25mm should ovulate and the 11mm is unlikely unless it grows to 16mm before you ovulate which is unlikely. But not impossible 🤞✨️

@Chloe thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with me. I thought 25mm would be too mature?

It could possibly be, I had a 24mm follicle once and my FS said it would be fine. But didn't want it to be any bigger. Normally they trigger when follicles are between 16mm and 20mm.

@Chloe I think that’s the ideal size but even when I’ve had them that size before, nothing worked?

Nothing has worked for me either. We have moved onto IVF! Sorry I don't have answers to that for you!
