He doesn’t develop any rashes and no mucus. Health visitor mentioned CMPA to me so it got me thinking however when I’ve searched the symptoms he doesn’t really show any. He is still in pain/ squirming a lot after going to the toilet, he grunts constantly so I was wondering if he had infant dyschezia but it says online that they aren’t actually constipated with that and they just show symptoms of it. When he does eventually poo it’s always soft and the normal colour, never hard! It’s all so confusing to work out what’s best for them as you just don’t want to see them in pain.
If it is CMPA more symptoms will appear and worsen. If your baby continues "the same" it is something else. Is he bloated? Itchy dry skin? Spitting out milk? Inconsolable crying?
That’s a good sign to no mucus or rashes. Oh bless him. It’s so hard at this age because you don’t want to see your babies in pain. Our little girl had CMPA but she also had a lazy bowel. She was prescribed laxatives that we use to give a little every other day which really helped her bowel improve. I’d recommend maybe seeing the gp and speaking about a mild laxative that may help him x
Does baby develop a rash when feeding? Or have mucus in poo? It could be a sign but it could also be baby having a lazy bowel which is what we’ve got. Is he in pain after and during going to the toilet also?
