Constipation

Before anything I want to say that I have already been in contact with his pediatrician ❗️ My almost 6 month old hasn’t pooped in almost a week. He’s not acting like he’s in pain, sometimes seems like he’s struggling to poo but ends up only farting. He is a little harder to put to sleep at night. He’s still wanting to eat. He’s still playing through the day and acting like himself. I just feel so bad for him and want to help him :( His pediatrician had us try 2oz of water yesterday morning, nothing. She had us true 1oz prune juice, 1oz water this morning, still nothing. Anyone else deal with this? If so, how did you help your LO?

I would do a high dose of vitamin c to flush him out. We use revitalize wellness brand & they have dosage amounts & instructions on their website. This group is also really helpful. https://www.facebook.com/groups/VitaminCforoptimalhealth/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

Massage him

@Mojoolaoluwa I tried that too, still nothing. I’ve also tried the bicycle method too 🥲

Maybe try purred pears or purred prunes.

I know it sounds bad but if you use a baby rectal thermometer it will make him go trust me. Just insert it check his temp and he will poop soon enough! I was a nanny for a little boy and it worked every time (he suffered from SEVERE constipation and this was done at the suggestion of pediatrician to mom)

My baby got constipated last week and I gave him the mommy’s bliss constipation ease and it worked like magic

Organic non caffeinated prune tea. Warm. Yummy it should clean him right up.

Pears, peaches, pumpkin and prunes Blueberries Pear, white grape or apple juice can help too I never had this issue. My toddler never missed a day of popping since birth but I always asked the pediatrician for tips just in case 🫶🏻

@Marya we were gonna get that but wasn’t sure about it since he’s not 6 months old yet. He won’t be 6 months until the 11th

@Maribelle I didn’t think about warming it up! I’ll definitely try that in the morning if nothing by then. I just feel so bad for him :(

Anything fruit a P- pear, plum, papaya, prune… not just once but two to three times a day for up to 4 days. We did 1 oz papaya juice morning noon and night for a day or two when my daughter was constipated at 7 months and it helped.

We went to the pharmacy about this (my lo didn’t go for a week she didn’t seem in pain or struggling) can try the ready made milk, prunes, weetabix (always makes our lo go now) other fruits, water . Our pharmacy gave us some lactose for babies to give in evening and she went that night, but still said to go to the drs but after this she was fine! Try massages, warm baths bicycles on legs etc. even going out in the pushchair/ car for motion x

Half cap of miralax in his bottle it’s fiber and it will act as a stool softener and babies can take them 6mo and up h He will poop in 20 min
