We use the lovevery playmat all day every day🥹 definitely not an essential but it’s my most used item

swaddle blankets, burp cloths, stuff like soaps and butt paste i always mentioned to people too.

car seat camera i still use mine and im forever grateful to the person who bought it

Definitely one of those huge playpens when I didn’t get enough sleep I would put my baby in it and I would sleep in it while he played, jolly jumper baby loves it, you can never have too many wash clothes and towels, the electric file for nails perfect for when you’re too scared to cut their nails very gentle, DIAPER GENIE, you could set up a little diaper and wipe essentials bin in the living room too right after you give birth you’re not gonna wanna move around a lot, don’t forget about the small things like the nose sucker saline drops thermometer, don’t forget about your after care and something I used a lot was my baby bath with a stand it’s way easier in your back. These aren’t necessary but just makes your life way easier. Also people are gonna tell you a lot of things that you really don’t need new moms is one of the biggest markets so just use your digression and Reddit will tell you the truth on a lot of items.

Also I recommend the Frita nose sucker because it works so well and if you have an electric pump you can attach it to that so you don’t have to suck out the snot

a boppy pillow, any kind of booger vacuum thing, a baby nail drill, those sleepers that look like gowns (came in super handy at the hospital and for night changes)

I had burp cloths , bibs, sterilizer , bottles , bassinet & swaddles those are probably the main things I used. I feel like baby towels are overrated bc they are thin & small. I bought new adult towels for just him.

Humidifier, baby swing, baby carrier waist trainer, breast pumps, nanny cam, bottle warmer, crib sheets, diaper bag.

Swaddle with Velcro so much easier

Baby swing saved my sanity with the first baby

And one of those no contact thermometers where u can just scan their head with a little laser

@Victoria I second this..wish I got that instead of a cloth wrap those are annoying especially when you have a fussy baby waiting to be picked up. My soft ErgoBaby newborn carrier is way more functional and the simplicity and ease of the sling is so appealing now

Diapers, bedside cart, bassinet, newborn pacifiers, swaddle blankets, breast pump, baby hamper, baby nail clipper, baby bathtub, lactation pads, breastfeeding bra/tops if you plan on breastfeeding.

My baby swing, play mat, car seat, and bedside bassinet were the biggest ones! Baby thermometer, nose Frida, diaper cream, and a baby bath.

Lots and lots of socks of all ages. Mainly 1+
