Please help bath time not going well

LO used to be fine with a bath and now she’s getting to small for the seat which we knew but she won’t sit down in it. Took that out and gave her the actual bath to sit down in but flat out refused to sit down, we had to wash her standing up which want safe as she thrashes about as hates water in her face and hates her hair being washed. Any suggestions on how to get her sat down and safely washed would be greatly appreciated

@Hattie we’ve got something similar that hasn’t helped, we’ve literally just got back from a holiday in Spain where she loved going in the pool

We have the same problem for months now. The only way we can wash lo - if I get in the bath as well 🥲

@St we tried that with my partner as well and she was still thrashing everywhere and when your trying to clean her she was so slippery we were so scared she would fall and hurt herself. Such a hard time at the moment

My son was the same and hated water on his face, I tried giving him a few baths in a row without washing his hair and he has started sitting down a lot more since, not 100% perfect but better then it was. I had to kind of place him straight on his bum into the bath and then he settled a lot better. I tried a version of the hat above and he loves wearing it out of the bath but as soon as we are in he hates it, I’ve started wetting his hair before washing it with water from my hand so it’s not so intense but then have to use more to rinse it out which he hates but it’s close to end of bath time by that time so I just concede he is going to stand up.

Have you got a bath mat? We have the munchkin one and helps our little boy loads
