Double pram recommendations?

Which style of pram is better? One where the seats are side by side or one where the newborn bassinet is on the bottom and the toddlers seat is over the top?

I am having this dilemma at the moment! My preference is side by side as I just think it’s nicer for them to be at the same level but it’s obviously wider than normal which can be an issue for some doors. I’m looking at the Bugaboo Donkey (probably secondhand) as that way you can extend when needing both but also have it as a single with saddle and it’s the same width as the Fox I’ve currently got. Some brands obviously don’t have the option to extend in/out. The only thing I like about the double decker style is the width is easier to manage but I really don’t like the idea of one on top of the other especially as the bassinet has to be at the bottom for weight which I don’t love either and if you ended up with a c-section wouldn’t work to start.

I’m also thinking whether I can wait 6 months because a lot more stroller options for 2 side by side if you don’t need the bassinet. My first hated the pram and was a velcro baby so lived in the carrier. She will also be at the childminder still for a few days so won’t always have 2. So could have my Fox as bassinet for the new baby when it’s just us and then use our Yoyo stroller with toddler and carrier for newborn on the other days or Fox for newborn and walk with my toddler. 20 month age gap and she already loves to walk but of course being winter and depending how long out she may need a seat. But for the sake of 6 months it could be an option and then get a stroller side by side without worrying about bassinet attachments. But if I can find a decent Bugaboo Donkey then I think I would go for that! Just some thoughts but interested to see what others are doing.

I’ve had a fox and got the donkey. I tested it out on my front door at home and it fits fine. I’m in debate do I keep my fox for later on when I don’t need a double. My toddler will be 2.5 when baby arrives

I’m thinking about the donkey duo. I initially wanted the up/down but I’ve heard so many bad things from them such as they’re really hard to push because the weight distribution isn’t right etc. So just going to deal with the fact we need a side by side. The donkey duo can go down to a single too which is handy because my daughter often will just walk but there are still times she wants/needs to be in the buggy x
