How much of all things baby

It’s my 2nd but I really can’t remember How many newborn vests/ baby growers are needed? Realistically I won’t be doing the washing every day, more like a few times a week With baby being due late jan/ early Feb and Christmas plans coming in thick and fast already it’s going to fly so wanting to get organised

First pregnancy here, I'm going to try n get around 14 short sleeve n long sleeve vests in each size, a few 2.5 tog sleeping bags, probably around 7-14 sleepsuits in each size I'm not sure. Better to have more n not use them I think. Currently trawling vinted to build up my initial stash x

First time mum too due in feb will they wear short sleeve vest under baby grow? I’m also planning/have heard to get around 15 of each due to how much they go through and not feeling like doing washing every day! I’ll get a sleeping bag but also an arms up swaddle. A few pairs of socks and scratch mits xx

@Kas thanks for getting back. Vests wise it’s going to be cold when out and about so plenty of long but I’d think short sleeve under a baby grower will be fine in the house

@Jenny thanks! I’ve kept a few neutral things from last time and have been ordering some new growers etc but coudnt remember if I was going OTT or if actually need it all!

@Kas I've mostly been going off Pinterest pictures of what they should wear to sleep in based on the temperature. They say they should wear one more layer to what you have on as they can't regulate their temp very well at first. That being said it's better for them to be cooler than warmer. It's a minefield 👀🤞

@Kate yeah no I think OTT is the best way to plan. I've got friends who said sometimes you go through 5 outfits a day with mess from one end or the other so I figured about 14 of each type of clothing would be OK to do washing every few days. Also they mostly just sleep at first so no need to get seperate tops n bottoms just sleepsuits n vests 🤞

We’ve ended up with around 18/19 short sleeve vests, around 6 long sleeve vests & 12/13 baby grows. The vests are mid of 0-3 and there’s a couple of newborn. I’m getting growth scans so depending on how they go, I’ll pick up some newborn baby grows too as my daughter was in those for a couple of weeks. We’ve also got a couple of wee outfits and going to get a few more so we’ve got actual clothes to put him in on occasion x
