Stripped all the way down to diaper only then a nice wipe down after. I've tried doing shirt only or pants only but pretty much every time I end up having to change her so the diaper only is the easiest way so far. Very curious what age she will be when I can start letting her stay dressed during meals (currently 8 Mos)
I usually put a bib and roll his sleeves up. If it's especially messy I'll put his coverall on too that ties under his table that way it catches anything he drops down him
@Alex but in the winter, now it getting cold, won’t he feel cold? I assume you do one messy meal a day, otherwise you’d have to bathe him after lunch and dinner?
@Megan ooh what coverall do you have?
https://amzn.eu/d/3URBPKQ ones like this. I use these for especially messy or if I don't want what he's wearing to get stained x
A full on bib like a bibado? It doesn’t go anywhere.
Yes use a bib but also invest in a bunch of smaller tea towels for cleanup don’t rely on wet wipes you’ll use so many and they don’t clean well anyway. I remove the bib, wet the towel swipe over face, hands, get him out spray the table wipe the table then spray the floor fold the towel as many times as I need to, do a figure 8 on the floor pick up all the pieces then I go outside the laundry door flick it all off then it goes into basket to be washed. Lengthy wording but in practice all that takes me 1 minute to do, super quick.
Nappy and two bibs 🤣
Tuck a tea towel or muslin on their legs x
Bibado! It's a total necessity in our house hold x
An adult sized t shirt!
Bibado bibs! I have 4! One for each meal time and a spare just in case 😂 I just chuck them in the wash together in the evening on a rapid wash and hang to dry ready for the next day. It catches everything and her clothes and high chair stay clean.
@Louise so do you have one for each meal time , or wash it after each meal
@Emma they seem pricey, come up around £15 each

I have just one, wipe it down each meal. Got from tkmaxx, they always have them.
I think mine were in the summer sale, worked out about £10 each. They always have deals and offers on, keep your eye out. I remember binning so many of my eldest’s clothes when she was a baby/toddler so I’d say they’ve actually saved me money.
I have two, and I just wipe It down with kitchen roll and spray it with the clear detol just like I do with her highchair then stick it in the washing machine once a week she loves painting as well hence the fact we have two so she can eat and craft in the other 🙂
I usually just strip him down to a nappy. That way when he's done he can just be chucked in the bath after
