I’d go fucking feral. What the actual fuck. Glad your little one was okay, at that age they tend to be able to handle it a bit better luckily but I’m more glad YOU are okay! So risky for pregnant women to be exposed to chicken pox, when I worked at a surgery we used to advise pregnant women with children who had chicken pox to have the child elsewhere while it was infectious even. Such an unnecessary risk to take and without consulting you?! Absolutely not her place and the thoughtlessness would worry me.
Oh i would be livid and the partner would be staying with mother dearest!! Even discounting making your child ill! You’re pregnant?!?! Absolutely the fuck not. Throw the whole lot of them away. Thats so dangerous!!!! And ridiculous, even if kiddo gets the pox if theyre young theres no guarantee they wont get it again so they have exposed him to an uncomfortable itchy disease just for their own outdated belief and that no one could possibly know better
This is such an older generation thing to do. I'd be absolutely furious to be honest. Luckily your little one handled it ok but there are plenty who become so poorly with it. Irresponsible old people who have no real understanding of current guidance and medical advice.
If it was me, she would lose babysitting rights for as long as it takes for her to prove she can be trusted again, and he son can go and live with her, I wouldn't even trust him to have the child on his own at this point.
@Becky mother theresa did some pretty awful things, so even then, I'd go low or no contact. Chicken pox is incredibly dangerous for unborn babies

That is absolutely disgusting. What a thoughtless thing to do. I feel soo angry for you! I wouldnt be able to hold back! You could have been extremely unwell with that and put your unborn babies life at risk!! She could be mother theresa and this be the only thing wrong she’s ever done, it would be enough for me to never trust her again!
