Social Advice Needed

I need advice. I have a 6 yr old daughter who started kindergarten this fall. I had her in 2 years of preschool prior to starting kindergarten. She’s always struggled with connecting with kids and making friends since she’s been in and out of the hospital since she was an infant. These hospital stays can be a few days to a few weeks. Which leads to needing to stay home once discharged. We take her to parks, libraries, local kid activities, but she doesn’t interact with the other kids. She’s also been bullied since she has a slight speech impediment. I’ve tried encouraging her, signing her up for activities and talking to her about making friends… I’m at a loss of what I can do to help her… any advice?

Hey I wouldn't be so worried, I have a 3 year old and he doesn't interact with kids his age. I would say go at her pace. Let her get the feel of other kids and how they act cause my 3 year old don't like the kids that's rough housing lol. As a matter of fact he just now warming up to interact with other kids. It's just a shell she's going through. Just try little by little when encouraging her to play with others but let her choose her own time when she's comfortable
