Hand guiding

My LO wants to hold my hand and take me into different rooms with him all day long. He will not be in a room by himself unless he is watching tv. Is there anyone else’s kid like this? Or anyone have any tips to make him more confident

If it a recent thing then they get a second wave of separation anxiety around now. We’ve had big tears at night time about not leaving him and more clingy at times when he never was previously.

My little girl is like this all the time too! No advice, but solidarity! ❤️

Yep, my daughter does the same and as much as it’s very cute, it can be frustrating. Her favourite is to lead me outside and gets very upset if I can’t come. It was really bad at a stage a month or two ago but she has gotten a lot better. I tried to say things like “mummy’s busy, mummy’s cooking etc, can daddy go with you?” Or go with her for a few min and then come back to what I’m busy with. Doesn’t always work. Think it’s just a bad patch of separation anxiety and they need time to work through it xx

I try to involve mine in things I'm doing. Generally she's happy enough to pass me things from the dishwasher as long as she's with me. I tend to leave stuff I can't do with her until she's asleep or childcare takes over.
