Strange one!

Hi! So my baby girl has been full of snots for over a week. She’s also had diarrhoea for 2 weeks (getting investigated by the gp). Now the past few days she’s been doing this thing where her face looks like she’s straining to poop (she isn’t pooping), holds her breath doing it for a few seconds, stops then is panting to get her breath (this bit sounds like it’s out of her mouth). So it’s not constipation because she’s got the opposite, so I’m wondering if it’s because at that moment in time she’s struggling to breathe through her nose and is working out how to breathe through her mouth. Has anyone else experienced this/ do you think I’m right? Going to speak to the HV on Monday if she’s still doing it 🙃

The diarrhoea is her way trying clearing out there nose, my little one had the exact same thing x

@Louise the diarrhoea started almost a week before the snots did so that’s not my issue. It’s this funny breathing thing she’s doing I just put in about the diarrhoea to say she’s not constipated. Was your little one breathing through their mouth or holding their breath at all?

Mine was definitely breathing through her mouth, never stopped breathing. My doctor recommended using sterimar congestion relief you can buy it of Amazon and have noticed a difference since I started using it

@Louise oh never heard of that! Will have a look thank you x

I hadn’t either until my gp told me x
