Show your support

4th option - No, just lets us get on with it but wouldn’t say really supportive!

Much the same as Emily. I’m sure she has a lot of opinions from occasional comments that are made, but she doesn’t interfere in any way. But likewise, not very hands on and helpful/supportive.

Mine does but is relatively supportive, will suggest stuff from time to time but not insist. Helps we live in different countries, so we only see her a few times a year

Same as Emily and Chloe! She visits us for an hour or so every week/10 days, but has never once helped out with anything or offered support in any way 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mine is a bit "back in MY day we didn't have muslins.. we just let them spit up..." but I just don't say "just because you weren't smart enough to keep a rag or 2 to hand and had to wash your shirt 60 times a week doesn't mean they didn't exist" and let the moment pass. Usually she is very supportive and asks how we like it done as things were so different back in the day and she's so anxious to do it right (for us). Which i really respect and admire! My mother on the other hand... 💀💀💀

My MIL isn't that involved with her opinions as such but my mum is always saying how she did things and how me and my sister were fine... as if I should be doing things her way. She also always telling me 'you should...'
