We have the didofy aster 2 which we love, it's cabin sized so can take it onto the plane and a very good affordable option with lots of extras included

Vacume pack nappies 😂 game changer lol x

Not done it yet but this is our plan.. -Got a super cheap/free second hand pram and a gate check bag so it doesn't matter if it gets too beaten up in hold as its not expensive or our main pram. -Boots Click and Collect order after security for nappies, wipes, baby food etc to save room in your bag (and a tip I read on here is to bring a big shopping bag as it comes in a box) -Carrier/Ring Sling for at the airport. - Carry on backpack that can open fully so you don't have to chuck everything out to reach something for baby near the bottom

@Carys a bag for click and collect is a much ... 1st time boots order came in a bag, 2nd time 2 big boxes was a nightmare

Yoyo and take on plane with you.

Second the yoyo and taking it on the plane. You can stash some nappies in the zip pouch on the hood as this doesn’t obstruct the folding. If you are staying at a hotel check in with them first to see if they can arrange any supplies for you. We have had baths, bottle warmers, sterilisers, baby monitors, bouncy chairs etc all arranged for us in the past at no extra cost. It’s always worth checking. We just took a bundle of nappies to last a few days then picked them up there, u think we got an uber delivery once which was really convenient. Snoozeshade for the yoyo worked brilliantly for us. If you are flying and the times work, a bottle/boob at landing is great for the ears.

We got the graco myavo stroller. It’s absolutely brilliant we are away now and it’s so lightweight but perfect size especially for our 4 month old, the folding is so easy and a one hand job and folds flat. Ours was 5.7kg so was accepted on the hold of the plane. X

What did you all do in terms of transfer / car seats etc?

@Lois our z2 clipped on to our yoyo which was so handy!!! When he got too big for the z2 at 20 mths) we now drive to the airport and park and then get the hotel to book a taxi for us with a car seat. The hotels we stay in have always been very helpful. We fly a lot so the yoyo/z2 set up was gold!!!

@Lois I have done as Francesca for some trips but also have organised airport transfers with a car seat. We have a local company that provides great car seats dependent on the age and for when we arrive we have always emailed our hotel to get their recommendation of transfers with good quality rear facing car seats and never been disappointed. X

@Lois We took enough nappies/wipes for a couple of days then bought more out there. People mention the click and collect at the airport but to me that's more stuff to transport on a plane/at the other end. In terms of transfers we had a coach one and I wore her in a sling. Wore her for most of the plane journey too.

Joolz aer or yo-yo

It’s not guaranteed you’ll get your pram in the cabin on the plane so air tag it( or similar). Ours didn’t arrive on our first holiday.

@Lois so we took our pram all the way through the airport up till we got to the plane and we then put it with the rest to go underneath. Correct me if I’m wrong but if it’s public transport for example taxi or coach to hotel you don’t need a car seat. Most car rental places (if this is something your wanting to do) have car seats which is what we’ve done here in Greece. On busses I believe it is the same. I think it’s only if your driving not using public transport you must have car seats. I’d recommend a sling if your concerned about having them on your knee. X
