Prams/travel systems 😵‍💫

I’m feeling really overwhelmed with trying to choose a good quality (but not overpriced) pram to use from birth. Looking for one that has a carry cot (to use for bedside sleeping in first months too), a seated pushchair for a few months on and a car seat as we have limited space o. The house. It also needs to be suitable for taking on woodland walks so not one of those ‘city strollers’ with flimsy wheels! Any recommendations? My in laws have kindly offered to buy the pram for us, but don’t want to take the mick with what we choose 😅

I got the bugaboo donkey duo on fb marketplace for £150, will suit multiple kids in the future, has such a helpful side basket etc! Amazing off road, we live in the forest of dean & go on really crazy muddy walks and over gravel, taken it on sand etc. It has a 2 wheel mode for pulling up stairs/on rough terrain etc. Has carry cot & seat, and car seat attachments for most car seats (though car seats on prams aren't safe really, especially not for more than 30 mins). I see them on fb marketplace for £300-£500 usually but keep an eye out! If not, the bugaboo fox 5 is approved for overnight sleep & you can get a stand for it! Same off road wheels, big lower basket & can have carrycot, seat or car seat xx

I kind of wish I got my hauck runner from the start! Can get adaptors for the car seat to go on and it can go off into the woods no problem! However no carry cot.. but we co-sleep so don't need one here 🥰

I got a Cosatto travel system. They offer pre loved items on their website, which I bought and it looks brand new!

I love my Oyster 3 and I'm still using it all the time now even at 20months old. It's very light for a travel system. I tried the Uppababy Vista for a couple months which was great but way too big and heavy. I bought the Oyster 3 set with all seats and accessories for £2-400 second hand (bought it twice, before the Vista, and again after!). Absolutely in love with it. The bassinet is safe sleep approved, the seat clasp is magnetic so easy to wrangle on a toddler. I would suggest getting a better fit car seat than the Oyster Capsule as it puts baby quite chin-to-chest but the car seat adaptors are universal so you could use almost any infant car seat on it.

We have the mountain buggy urban jungle and love it. But with the carry cot it's quite big in the car, so check it will fit! We bought ours as a bundle with the maxi Cosi pebble. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the pebble as it's a bit clunky, but mountain buggy do adaptors to fit various car seats so just check they fit and it'll go with any. The carrycot they do is also rated for overnight sleep (which is important to check if you're planning to use it for night time).

My daughter has a ickle bubba she’s is selling for £65 comes with all the bits except car seat as still using that. Collection only from Hove if interested I can send pics.
