Compact stroller

Could I have some recommendations for a compact stroller to take abroad for my 6m old please ?:) Also how does it work at the airport does the pram come on as hand luggage or in the hold? And if so would we have to carry little one around the airport for hours??

I don’t know… have not traveled by plane with a baby yet

We’ve got a Joolz Aer too and absolutely love it! Most airlines take the buggy at the gate to put in the hold at no extra charge, but worth double checking with who you’re flying with. You don’t need to worry about getting a specifically hand luggage sized buggy if you’re doing it this way. One of my friends had actually rented a silver cross travel stroller online for their holiday. Think she paid somewhere between £40-50 to have it for 10-14 days and said she would do this again!

It's been great on our holiday. They give you a ticket to loop around your pram, like they do with your luggage. Then you can use it and just hand it in at the gate. I recommend taking a carrier though for when you first get off the plane. As you won't have your pram until you collect your baggage. X

@Kierrah thank you so much really helpful cx

@Amber thank you so much x

@Lucy thank you so helpful !!

I flown recently with Ryanair and EasyJet. I’ve got a Cosatto Woosh 3 (our regular pram is also Cosatto) it’s cabin compliant, very lightweight, big hood, higher weight limit (high centile bubs), lies flat and has a pulley handle. I would recommend trying the prams out first though. You can take your pram to the boarding gate and either take it on board as hand luggage or the staff will take it to the hold at the steps. Make sure you have some alternative carrying options like a baby carrier as a family we met on holiday, their pram went missing but thankfully had the baby carrier.

@Deborah thank you so much xx

We’ve got the Stokke YOYO and love it. It’s lightweight, compact, easy to fold (not one hand though) with a shoulder strap and fits in the cabin overhead locker. We recently flew long haul with Qatar Airways and it was very useful to have it with us during transit from the minute we got off the plane!
