Baby measuring small

I just had my 28 week midwife appt and my midwife measured bump and said they seem to be on the 10th centile which is quite small. She said they will measure again at 34 weeks and put me forward for a growth scan if the bump is still measuring small. She thinks it may be because the baby is currently transverse (laying sideways) so could be inaccurate. Just wondering if anyone has had anything similar and the baby turned out to be growing fine? I'm just worried and confused because my first baby was a very tall girl and was born 8lb 5 so not small at all! Xx

Yep! My bump measured small at my 28 week midwife appointment, also plotted at 10th centile, so I was sent for a growth scan and baby was absolutely fine and measuring around 71st! I wouldn't read anything into bump measurements 😊

Take bump measurements with grain of salt eith first baby I measured Small so was put for growth scan n she was actually on 90% n end up being a 9lb baby😅xx

Exactly the same! Had my 28 week yesterday and it suggested baby hasn't grown in 4 weeks. Sent me for urgent scan but baby as transverse, so the tape measurement was smaller down the centre of the bump. He is on the 50th centile so don't worry too much!

Mine was " 6 weeks behind" wirh my first and he was just fine on the growth scan. X

My bump measured under 10th centile at 28 weeks but had a growth scan yesterday and baby is actually just above 50th and no concerns xx

@Brooke Same!!

I had the opposite my bump was measuring large but baby is measuring small on scans, I have a lot of fluid but I think the way they lie and your build in general makes the bump measurement inaccurate! Xx
