My little girl is lactose intolerance she’s 5 weeks was breaking out in a rash on her face at every feed pooing after every feed extremely unsettled and was very sicky I would go back to the doctors and ask for a trial on different milk x
@Kaci my daughter is nearly 9 weeks after every feed and even an hour after the bottle she can be sick. She doesn't have a rash or anything but will be really fussy and uncomfortable after and very gassy. The baby gaviscon did nothing so stopped giving it her and changed from cow and gate to kendamil milk and that's been 2 weeks and still no difference 😭 such hard work she just won't be put down without crying poor thing. Did the drs prescribe you lactose free milk?
@Anna first they gave me aptamil pepti 1 then neocate as they believe she’s fully lactose intolerance but my first little girl after she was given the aptamil she was fine no more being sick or crying in pain I would ask your doctor to prescribe you the aptamil to try see if it helps your little girl x
@Kaci thank you. I'll try and get another drs apt tomorrow and see if they will prescribe it. I presume it takes a while to see if it works or has any benefit x
@Anna sounds like my daughter, her poo is also really wet every single time. Spoke to health visitor and gp and they both said it’s just colic
Oh this sounds exactly like my situation we have been trying all sorts since 2 weeks old with my little boy! Started off on normal Kendamil, then tried aptamil pepti 1 and Gaviscon but that seemed to make his reflux worse, so tried cow and gate anti - reflux milk, although he kept more down he still seemed very unsettled and in pain even in between feeds 🥲 so we’re under hospital paediatrician now and trialling Nutrimigen for a month currently! If this doesn’t work then we will be try omerpozerole and potentially neocate, his reflux is severe, he also has a rash on his face and chest. My firstborn was exactly the same so I haven’t had much luck! 😅
Maybe silent reflux? If so they may prescribe Omeprazole. If milk intolerance, they can’t do allergy tests until bubs is 4 months old. They suspect it with my 8 week old so I’m off dairy and soy (30% of babies with dairy intolerance also have soy issues). So in short, the only way you can find out is excluding the above and see if they’re more comfortable. Disclaimer: would you believe that it takes no less than 2 weeks for dairy to clear your system; so it’s not immediate sadly.
