I’m currently going through this. My baby was under the 10th percentile at my 28 week growth scan. Went back yesterday at 30 weeks and baby is now on the 5th. I don’t meet with my consultant until next week so I’m currently left wondering what the next steps will be apart from continuing with my growth scans x
@Kimberley my 13 month is the size of an 8 month old at best so I’m not surprised on this second baby being small, it’s just the fact she’s under the 10th that seems very drastic. I’m so glad your friend had this measurement and the baby is totally ok!! Helps reassure me xx
@Katie oh no, I’m so sorry…did they explain why your baby has gone lower or why they were measuring small at your 28 weeks? This was my 28 week appointment too..
@Sarah I have low PAPP-A which can lead to low birth weight so from 28 weeks I was automatically put on growth scans. Most people that have low PAPP-A don’t even up getting affected by it but my little bean definitely has been. Xx
Going through this as well. Was 10th percentile at my 28 week appointment. At my 31 week appointment today she’s 3rd. Have a growth scan booked in for Monday next week, so this weekend is gonna be stressful 😅
My sister had a million extra scans and was on growth carts and was told her baby was very small, she's now an absolute UNIT and has been perfectly healthy throughout! My sister is just a smaller lass is all.
My friend measured under the 10th and baby was just over 7 pounds in the end! They are such tricky measurements to get ‘right’, my only advice would be not to worry too much - enjoy the kicks and the extra scans for a peek x
Currently going through this. My little one is only on the 3rd centile. I have a scan next week but beyond worried about her xx
Just wanted to put on here incase anyone comes across this post again. I was measuring over 100th and scan showed I am 26th! Fundal height can be very unreliable :)
My friend has this measurement and extra scans etc but girlies just measure small in her family. Her first was little too and is still a wee shortie :)
