Testing after a chemical pregnancy

How long did you have positive tests after a chemical pregnancy? I started bleeding Saturday after multiple positive tests. I’m not sure what to do this cycle. Just don’t bother testing once I stop bleeding ? Check for ovulation? or will any remaining hcg effect that?

I had a chemical last month as well and my cycle has immediately resumed as normal. I have been doing ovulation checks the last few days after correlating with my app. I put my first day of bleeding in as I would for a usual period and my app said I’m ovulating now and the ovulation tests agree with that. So my suggestion would be to do ovulation tests when you would usually expect to be ovulating in your cycle.

I just had a chemical as well. Positive tests on 8/26 and 8/30. Started bleeding on 9/6-7. My tests immediately got faint and were negative about 4 days later.

@Beccy I was going to treat it as a normal period & assume I would ovulate around the same time. I don’t use ovulation tests & thought maybe I should just to double check this month but then I read that hcg can give you positive ovulation tests

Oh and I just had my cycle on 9/27...

Is the test getting lighter? I would keep testing until it’s gone completely so you know. If tests stay dark/ don’t fade but keep bleeding I would go to dr x x

@Yomi thank you

@Em I’ve not done any tests since I started bleeding. Not sure if it’s worth it or not

It is to see if hcg is lowering as if not it can be eptopic x

@Em Yeah that makes sense, I’ll do some over the next few days. Thank you
