Bedtime routine

Hello I want to start incorporating a loose bedtime routine for my 1 month old which includes and bath, coconut oil massage , cuddles with a story and then breast fed. Is a bath every day too much for a 5 week old? I’ll only use soap once a week and the rest just warm water. I will only leave her in there for short amount of time. Let me know your guys thoughts thank you 🥰

No definitely not 🥰 as long as her skin copes with it. From around 3/4 weeks we did nightly baths and still do at 14 months, it’s worked perfectly for us! It’s never affected his skin so it’s been fine. I know some babies get quite sensitive skin so daily baths isn’t a good thing x

Go for it my son has had a bath everyday with soap since he was born

I’ve done this with my son since this cord was healed and he loves it x

My advice is to create a routine that works for you and your family dynamic. Babies/ Kids love routine but don’t over commit as it’s stressful when you miss a step. We started our routine at 3mths and at 23 mths have honestly never had an issue with bedtime. We started books at 18mths as before then he wanted his milk asap and to go to sleep 😂😂 My son has beautiful soft skin - we did his first bath at 3 weeks old and never used oils afterwards and only my little coco soap once a week. See how you get on but we didn’t do oils. As an adult I would hate to put my pjs on after I had been smothered in something - so I didn’t for ours :)
