Physio referral

Iv'e just self referred to physiotherapy for pain in my pelvis. I'm so uncomfortable sitting and walking. They advised there will be about a 2 week wait for an appointment but does anyone know what I can expect? Or have any recommendations for things I can do in the meantime to help? I feel like it's too early to be this uncomfortable 😖

I’ve just had my physio appointment yesterday for the same issues, the appointment included loads of exercises to do, information about everything and things to do that can help they’ve also given me something to wear around bump to help when needed xx

Aaah brilliant thank you! I know exercising will probably help but it's so off-putting when you don't feel right. Might get my yoga mat out later to try and get a head start 🤞🏼

@Rowan the pain is awful isn’t it! I got it from 33 weeks with my last baby but it started at 15 weeks this time round 🫣 hope you find something that helps!!! X

Not saying that this is what it is but if it’s pelvic girdle pain I think it can affect women at various stages during pregnancy, horrid to feel uncomfortable- I’m definitely getting a stiff pelvis after my runs so they may have to stop soon sadly :(

No advice but thinking I might need to get some support as well as the pelvic pain just keeps getting worse. Who did you contact?

@Jess I have physical maternity notes rather than an app and the number to call was in there. My midwife highlighted it last time I saw her. If you can't find it deffo ask your midwife 🤞🏼

Sleeping with a pillow between your legs really helps my pelvis pain, if I sleep without it lord to I know it!
