Childminders or nurseries?

Do you have a kids first or busy bees nursery near you I work different shifts each day and they allowed me to do it

My childminder contract states I need to give 10 days notice for a weekly schedule

I worked shifts and when I went back to work, I put in a flexible working request and they now let me work specific days a week as that’s all nurseries around me would allow x

I looked round various nurseries and hated them. Kids running round with snot running down their faces 🤢 My little girl has been going to a childminder since she was just over 1 and her development has come on leaps and bounds. They are always up to crafts or going on days out I am so glad I chose a childminder over a nursery. I just think the kids get a much better relationship and trust with their caregiver as it’s always the same person

@Sophie also kids are prune to less accidents with a childminder. Nurseries tend to have lots of kids in a room. Also childminder is cheaper option.

@Sophie see I'm the opposite looked at childminders . One wouldn't rear face my child in a car even though it's my child. Nursery provided food nappies etc childminders didn't. One childminder I saw wa boarding on inappropriately obsessed with one child so I chose a nursery I honestly think it depends where you live and where you look xx

@Emily yeah you need to look around childminders just like you would need to look around nurseries. You can’t just go to the first childminder you find and expect them to be the right fit for you. My childminder provides nappies, wipes, water bottles, she even has a stash of hats, gloves, puddles suits, slippers and spare clothes for any kids whose parents forget or if they have accidents.
