Tummy issues

My LO went through a period of struggling with trapped wind. This got better with gripe water and we stopped using it for a week or two. Last two days, it seems to have returned and she is struggling again. gripe water isn't helping as much. We are doing things to get the toots and burps out but she still struggles. She has expressed milk and has recently started having one big poop every couple of days. So question is did anyone else experience trapped gas returning again at 10 weeks? I thought it's supposed to be going away now.

Yeah this happened with me. My LO is 12 weeks Saturday and he has struggled with wind since 2 weeks old we were told to put him on infacol the dentanox and then we chose to give him gripe water then we had to go back to infacol because someone told me that gripe water basically makes it worse it causes a reaction in there belly similar to when we used to make volcanos in school with baking soda and vinegar, so basically when the gripe water hits there stomach acid it’s doing that it’s not helping burps come out it’s creating them to make it seem as though they are bringing there wind up , if that makes any sense … back to the topic , I gave my LO infacol again at 10 weeks for about five days after every bottle then started to slowly take him away from it like every other bottle then only night time bottles because that when we struggled to most and then eventually he is now completely off it and burping and rooting like a breeze , hope this is some kind of help to you 💙

Thank you @chanise Pritchard , really helpful about the gripe water which may be making it worse! Infacol didn't really help her too much but I've never tried dentanox - how did you find this? So can't wait fir her little body to mature so she (and I) doesn't struggle !

Dentanox was absolutely amazing , it’s just really thick so putting it in the bottles was hard we had to move the size of our LO’s teat on the bottles up which he’s perfectly fine with now as he wouldn’t take it from the syringe but how ever you give it is your choice but from the bottle in his feeds was the best for us and I know the struggle , but once they are past it , it’s an amazing feeling to know that they are feeling much better x
