Baby Laundry Detergent?

Sometimes it feels hard to tell what products are absolutely necessary and which ones are just a sort of marketing scam. Do any families here use baby laundry detergent or do you just use your regular laundry detergent?

I use regular detergent

We use regular, if baby were to have symptoms of sensitive skin/ reaction to soap, then I’d switch to something more gentle.

We use Molly suds. Depends how “safe” you wanna be. Baby detergent usually has no dyes and fragrance and other chemicals which can be toxic

My cousin was today years old hearing about any type of different detergent for babies and she’s currently going strong with 3 under 3 She almost had a meltdown but I did say if nothing has affected any of them in the last 3 years then I’m sure there is nothing to worry about

I use baby soap because it’s gentler but also love the “baby” fragrance

I use All Free & Clear

I used Dr. Bronners baby unscented soap for the first handful of months and have just been using tide at the moment but am switching over to Molly Suds as it's supposed to be a better and cleaner brand

I used regular detergent but sensitive skin kind (arm and hammer brand specifically).

Whatever you decide, please for the love of God, don’t use Dreft 🙅🏻‍♀️

I used reg and if he had a reaction I would have switched. There was a time however when he was sucking on all of his clothes and blankets that I wondered if I should be using something gentle. I didn’t switch, phase passed and didn’t have problems 🤷🏻‍♀️ I use tide but my mom used glade if she washed his stuff he actually would have a reaction but I never had skin issues with the tide detergent my household uses.

Just use a sensitive or free and clear of whatever you are using, that’s sufficient

I just use own brand, non-bio liquid for my baby and use bio for me and my partners clothes

I used baby detergent the first year of my son’s life. It’s about the same price as regular detergent. You wash baby stuff SO much (spit up, up, pee, milk, blowouts, etc) that even if I used regular detergent I’d need to buy 2x anyway, might as well get one for me and one that’s extra clean for him. I also feel like Dreft gets the stains out of his clothes so much better than regular detergent.

My son and i have eczema and react to everything so we can only use the baby nob bio

Attitude or Molly suds….cleaner ingredients for the whole family

Normal detergent but with no perfume and nonbio. That's the best for sensitive skin.

I use regular, ever never had a problem. For his first clothes wash I did use non bio but now he’s older and there’s more stains it’s bio all the way for us

I was soooooo determined to just use regular laundry detergent then if for some reason he reacts some way then I’ll change and that’s exactly what happened. My son came out the womb having extremely sensitive skin so I just bought the baby laundry detergent and all is well. He’s almost 4 months now and I think he’s good to use regular detergent now…Same thing w bottles and stuff, I sterilized initially and then hand washed and then I was like wtf I can put all of this in the dishwasher why am I making my life harder lol. Just trial and error for me. I also wasn’t planning on washing any of his clothes either bc I know plenty of people who didn’t do that however just like w the detergent he just already had such sensitive skin so I washed as I went 🤷🏻‍♀️

I started using an all organic unscented detergent for all our clothes so its better than buying 2 different brands. I actually like the idea of using a gentle detergent

I've got sensitive skin and weird allergies, my daughter has eczema, and we use All Free and Clear
