A sh*t-uation

Little dude has been p00ping non-stop for the last 2ish days. Some were solid at first, but now it’s just diarrhea. He’s 12 months, so we recently started introducing *more* cow milk, but he’s been having it for quite a while now. Other than that, we haven’t introduced any new allergens or anything. He’s got a horrrrrrrible diaper rash so we’re using lotrimin and butt paste. And giving him lots of baths instead of wiping. 1. What else can I do to help his bum? 2. WHY WONT HE STOP POOPING. (This is rhetorical, kinda.) 3. Has this happened to anyone else? Did you end up figuring out the cause? A bug? Allergy? I’m going to have a breakdown if I have to smell one more baby sh-t. 🥴 *Before anyone recommends it, I already called my pediatrician. They won’t do anything/see him unless it’s been several more days/gets a lot worse.*

For us it was mostly a stomach bug from daycare, happened 2 or 3 times. It did take about 3 to 4 days to run its course. We tried to keep up on water and whole foods (fruit, veggies, etc). Try baking soda with the baths. That really helped us. Use a damp washcloth, as well as wipes. It's less aggressive but gets the job done too. Hope he feels better.

@Clara thank you!! I need an end in sight lol. Hopefully soon. Did they have a fever w/the bugs? That’s the only reason I was thinking it might NOT be that. No fever at all so far!

Our guys was popping 5-6x a day and it was because we were giving too much fruit!! I would cut back to super super safe foods right now and a really bland diet until it gets under control and then slowly start adding more variety back.

Stomach flu... Keep using the antifungal diaper rash.. the diarrhea triggers yeast diapper rash. Tons of vaseline on top of the antifungal

Okay this might not be the cause for you but when my first started walking he was pooping non stop and I concluded that it was gravity helping things along.

For the butt i really like earth mama

The cause has been determined (kinda): he woke up with a cough & congestion. So he’s got the flu or something. Should I get him tested?? Is it even worth it?
