Balding
Is it normal for babies to start balding on the back and sides of their head? When my daughter was a few months she had a big bald patch on the back of her head and now my son is starting to lose a bit on his sides and back. Any way to prevent this? Pic to show my baby’s hair.

Yes, it’s because they’re mostly lying on their sides/back. The friction causes the hair to fall out. It can help to make sure they’re not consistently on their back/the same side, but not much you can do in terms of prevention. It’ll fix itself when he starts crawling/walking
Yep! My daughter lost almost all her hair she was born with around 4m old.

Its totally normal! Its because the back and sides is where their head rests when sleeping/laying down and whenever they turn their head it rubs.
