How do you guys go about finding a sitter when you need one? I’m nervous about finding someone I trust. Any recommendations?

I joined a FB group called Colorado Springs Daycare and babysitting. I was able to create a post listing criteria I needed for my LO. I got a few people offering services. I was able to meet them, call references and run background checks until I found the right one for us.
I use my daughters daycare teachers
A family I used to nanny for found me and my sister through Care.com and urban sitter. Just make sure the site you used thoroughly vets the sitters.
