He had a Cows Milk Allergy, but was giving him acid reflux till his doctor had me switch to a different formula, he was like that on the breast and i wasn't having dairy from the start of breastfeeding, so she had me switch to formula.
@Nakaela that’s exactly how he is except for his poops arent solid he’s also choking on his spit when he lays on his side on my chest & he’s been so much more fussy
How quick were they able to fix the issue and find out what the issue was ? He has a doctors appt tmr and I’m gonna bring it up @Nakaela
@jaidan after switch it was about 3 ish days before he was better, from day one you'll start to see better changes with each feed, but after a week you'll notice he isn't acting how he was
they found out by pushing his stomach, im not sure the exact spot, but how i explained things and then her seeing him bloated she decided to switch to formula incase it was cows milk and after he was fine we realize it was a cows milk, they aren't fans of doing tests on newborns, so its a rough journey, but its all about finding what best with their tummy, there isn't much you can do until you start a different milk journey:)) or if youre breastfeeding, talking with the doc to see what's possible for you not to eat if youre still wanting to breastfeed
As soon as he was born he wouldn’t burp! He was in the nicu and I would be asking if it was normal 😐 Fast forward 3 weeks , we had half of his intake, fussing, crying, inconsolable at times. He had terrible silent reflux . We feed in an elevated side lying position and use medication to Help. We would keep him up for 30 minuets after each feed too. He’s 7 months now and it’s better but he definitely still suffers bless him but he’s certainly getting much better wit it x
around 1 1/2 - 2 weeks, he wouldn't burp like he should, his poop was very hard, even with apple juice and prune juice he still had very hard poop, his stomach would be bloated 24/7, he would start to get a rash on his cheeks, monitor behavior, if they aren't normally fussy or haven't been fussy since they are a newborn, note and document when they are and how they are acting for their doctor appointment.
