Always constipated

My 9 month old is ALWAYS constipated. She was given Lactulose from the doctor which we give morning and evening but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. She drinks a lot of water, we've tried all the P's like they recommend (prunes, peaches, pears, plums), plenty of fruit and veg. We've even tried a small amount of diluted apple/orange juice and it hasn't done anything. We thought it may be her Carobel milk thickner so came off that for 4 days but it doesn't seem to have helped and it's bought her reflux back. She will have one big poo explosion and then be constipated again for over a week!

Have you tried a probiotic? We give one to my LB and it helps to keep him regular. I did some research and chose Optibac, but there are others aswell x

If you are feeding carbs maybe avoid them for a bit, like melty sticks, bread etc

Lactulose is a really rubbish laxative in my experience. You could try asking the doctor to prescribe laxido? We used that for our little one when he’s constipated and it works every time.

Lactulose never helped us, so we are on movicol, which works wonders for us! Try warm bath as well xx
