@Katrina yes that's what the doctor told me. The sack was there but she said it's to early to tell. I've never had an ultrasound this early on so I'm not sure how it works, I just panicked 🥲 so that means I am pregnant if there is a sack right? Sorry it sounds so dumb but I just want to make sure im just so scared.
* Not medical advice since I don’t know your whole situation * but happy to try to help The gestational sac should form first in the uterus (I think that’s what they saw). Next is the yolk sac, if there’s a yolk sac in there it confirms the pregnancy. This is what the baby attaches to. We can usually see the yolk sac with baby at 6 weeks. Some really good ultrasound techs can find it earlier but it can be tough.
Hopefully that’s not terrible to understand 😵💫 if not, you basically have 1 out of the 2 things needed to confirm a pregnancy but it’s possible you just scanned to early
Sometimes the cycle dates don’t accurately predict the pregnancy, especially if you’re irregular. At 5.6 sometimes you can see more than a sack but not always & it could still be normal. They can repeat the scan in a few days or a week to check for progress.
