Leaving Relationship

Did you leave once your babies got older ? Wondering if anyone has left a relationship once the babies were older due to just being unhappy or just knowing that person isn’t your person despite trying to make it work? Right now I feel like I am sacrificing my happiness for a stable home for my baby but sometimes I think that maybe when they’re older I’ll probably separate from their dad just because I know that he isn’t my person , I am happy because my baby is happy and in a safe environment but as for my personal love life I am miserable and I don’t see myself growing to love this person . Do I completely let go of my happiness or hope of finding love ever again and stay or listen to myself ? Has anyone been here

If you are unhappy your baby will feel it to especially when they get older. My partners mum stayed with his dad until he was 24 even though she wasn’t happy and it helped no one, now my partner, his brother and his mum don’t speak to his dad so it was really all for nothing. X

I left when my kids were babies because one when i wasn’t happy they were not happy- my nonverbal autistic kid became verbal once his dad moved out for example. And also I see now that for them it’s normal. They just know their life as dad never living with us. Vs if they were older they would have had a harder time coping with the change I think because they would have remembered what it was like with dad living with us. So i definitely think me kicking him out when they were little was best- my oldest was 3 and my youngest was 2.

Are you in therapy or counseling individually or with your child’s dad to discuss the unhappiness? Is that an option?

The father of my child has make a end of the relationship when i was two months pregnant
