I've had this seat for my little girl since she was 14m old but she's outgrown and my big 4m old is in her other seat (graco turn 2 me) as he'd scream and cry in his infant carrier but miles better in a bigger seat. He'll be in this seat soon as spare for my dads car. Baby will need everything in (insert and wedge) but won't need the head hugger that pops off the other piece. The manual will say to take it out at 62cm or something like that but they actually need to stay in as it fills the space around the baby/child for better protection in a collision. I toon them out at first thinking it was just a baby insert but after reading posts on ERF groups on facebook I soon put them back in. My little girl is big for her age (just turned 3) and still has both in until we swap her to her new car seat next week x
@Hannah our little one is almost 3 and we still have ours in too! I took them out and it looked massive for her so they're back in again! X
No leave everything in apart from the newborn headrest Just be aware that the sest only harnesses to 18kg so if baby is above the 50th centile it won't last harnessed till age 5 when suitable tonuse a car seatbelt x
We have this seat and have just taken the head insert out. We've left the back and side supports in as it's really deep without them.
