When is “too early” to scan?

Yes I had a scan at 7 weeks with daughter, little jelly bean with a heartbeat 💗 Hope it all goes well x

I was 7+4 for mine, saw a little blob with a beating heart! Good luck lovely… lots of water as much as possible xx

I had my first private scan at 8 weeks I didn’t know I was 8 weeks pregnant at the time I thought I was about 7 weeks. Seen a heartbeat & like @Sorrel says, I use to also say his little jelly bean body🙈😂 it was a lovely experience and gave me such peace of mind. My first of many private scans as I kept needs reassurance 😂xx

I had my first scan at 6weeks exactly with my daughter…saw a little blob with a pounding heartbeat 💓 and seeing that gave me such piece of mind! Xx

@Amy I’ve tried to work out my dates from the 1st day of my last period, watch them tell me I’ve got it all wrong 😂😂 I wouldn’t mind if I was further along but Christ having to go back a week or two is torture! 😂 thanks lovely! We both have twins in our families so it’s more to check there’s not 2 😂😅 xxx

@Helen owwww this is amazing!! Thank you for sharing 🩵 I’ve seen a few people post saying they went for a scan at 7 weeks an their gestational sack was empty, god being this early is so nerve wracking 😅 I’m just praying for a nice first scan experience lol 😂 xxx

I was like you, I thought I was about 7 weeks so wanted to check everything was ok. Turns out I was less think I was about 5+4 so didn’t get to see anything other than a sac. If you can wait another week or 2 you’ll probably get a better scan ☺️

@Lois Marie I remember being really anxious and thinking what if this what if that. It was so nice having that early scan. I also had a private gender reveal scan and that was a great experience. The screens at private scans are sooooo much bigger then the NHS ones. I have the video of the gender reveal session along with all the photos which is so nice.

My first ultrasound Dr estimated me about 5 weeks. You could see the implanted egg sac with a little line inside. 7 week one had heart beat and like bean/frog shape

@Helen sorry just wanted to comment about the one ovary thing, this can be completely normal and most likely is! It’s something to do with your bowels covering the other ovary or something along those lines. Very very common

I’d wait a couple more weeks in case your calculations are wrong. Both times I was 2 weeks earlier than I thought, that would put you at around 5 weeks and they can’t always see heartbeat at that stage so might worry you for no reason!

@Kayleigh yeah the tech didn't say anything. But they did spend about 10 minutes trying to find it. I got a very good look at my hip bone and some organs while they were there.

I had one at 6 weeks because they suspected an ectopic as I was having crazy cramps and shoulder tip pain, and I don’t remember seeing much, and then at 7 weeks there my little blob was. I loved it. I had a private scan at 10 weeks and then again at 14 weeks as the NHS completely messed me about and didn’t give me my 12 week scan. It’s amazing to see how they develop so quickly.
