Self-Care Isn’t Out of Reach: Use What You’ve Got!

For most busy moms I chat with, it’s easy for them to list what’s missing when it comes to self-care: - Not enough time - Limited funds - No supportive partner, family, or friends - No self-care activity ideas All of these are real challenges, but focusing on what you don’t have can make it hard to see the opportunities that are already available to you. Check it out here: https://www.happymindset.app/self-care-for-moms-faq I promise—you’ve got more resources than you think, and you already have everything you need to start practicing self-care TODAY. Great questions & I love the idea of being a self care guardian. You championing self care remind me that's it's doable in my day to day 😁

@Jessica, thank you so much for your kind words! I love how you’ve categorized the different aspects of self-care — regular health hygiene and soul-filling self-care — that’s such a lovely reflection. I completely agree that when we model self-care, we’re teaching our kids how to prioritize their well-being, which is essential to becoming healthy, happy adults. In many ways, "family first" also means self-care first. When we take care of ourselves, we show up with more energy, patience, and joy for our families — and we model how to be our best for both ourselves and the people we love. It’s such a powerful way to nurture them while also honoring our own needs.

@Johanna Yes! You’ve got this! If you treat your self-care time like any other important appointment — where you wouldn’t be late, cancel last minute, or skip out — you can commit to it for yourself too. Prioritizing your well-being is just as important as any other obligation!
