Just talked to a friend who is mum of 2. Her first was born at 42+2. Her 2nd at 40+3. Babies come when ready ☺️☺️❤️
@Gabi exactly this! The midwife is putting pressure on me for an induction tomorrow but I’m not having it! X
@Lauren Do what feels right 🙌🏼☺️ I am not planning any induction either unless extremely important reason and baby in danger when induction is better option than c section. So stick to your guns.
Me toooo. 40+2 and been in hospital for 3 days with nothing happening 🙄🙈
@Lauren I’m covered in them my whole front of my belly I have to have my belly out at home cos clothes irritate them they are that bad and my belly’s so shiny from them xxx
@Lucy is everything ok if you’re at hospital? I’m just sat at home driving myself mad that I’m over due xx
@Jasmine all good but I accepted induction at 40 weeks due to baby measuring big and it's just taking forever 🙈
@Lucy as long as you’re all okay, I got my midwife app tomorrow and wanted to ask for a sweep but they won’t do it til I’m 41 weeks ☹️xx

I’ve been annoyed all day family ringing and friends texting asking for updates driving me mad, I told them all I’d tell them if I had anything to update them with but they still ask and it’s put me in such a bad mood and I’m only a day over so god knows how you all feel xxx

41 weeks here. Definitely done with being pregnant. Had 2 failed sweeps, have another for tomorrow with some aromatherapy. Really hoping for some movement 🙏 don't want to be induced 😫

@Lucy sucks it’s taking long for you! That’s my problem with it. I have a toddler and don’t want to be away from her for so long!
@Jasmine ah no, it’s crap they won’t give you a sweep! With my first, I went into labour 48 hours after. This time… I’ve had 2….
@Jessica I’ve had 2 sweeps within 4 days of each other and there wasn’t any change inbetween. Just told that my cervix is 2cm thick (apparently it thins down to 0.5cm during birth), she can just manage to touch babies head, I’m 1cm dilated and cervix is soft and stretchy but still fairly far away 🙄 I’m sick of messages! I turned my phone off the other day and when I turned it back on after just 12 hours I had 14 WhatsApp chats (not including other socials!). I’m at the point if ignoring people 😂
@Toni my midwife won’t give me a 3rd sweep (her personal choice due to rush of infection). It’s gonna happen for you soon. Don’t worry ❤️

Try bouncing on a yoga ball and walking around the house over and over that's what got me 40 wks 5 days

@Lauren see, my midwife said ‘bouncing’ on the ball is completely useless. Doing circles, back and forth, side to side etc is what works. So I’ve been doing that and yes, I’m very active walking around constantly
I am also 40+5 today. I got a sweep done yesterday and I was 1 cm and my cervix is apparently 2cm thick. Waiting for the baby to come soon. If not - I have another sweep on Saturday, and induction booked for Sunday 41+2. Would prefer to maybe wait more for induction- but as it might take a while - I don’t want to be too close to 42 weeks to avoid any risks for the baby 👶
