I wouldn't be worried i was behind by about 4 days when I had my scan and my pregnancy has progressed with no problem

I was 8+5 and went for an early scan and was told I was 7+2 I’m now 11+2 with a healthy baby! X

I thought I was around 12 +5 when I had my first scan. I actually was only 11 weeks! I’m now sat here with a very healthy 5 month old. It’s probably that you’ve ovulated slightly later then you thought x

Hey so how could I work out my conception and due date from this? X

So they’d base you due date off currently from when your first day of your last period. When you hit 12 weeks and have the nhs one, they will give you your date then x

They give me 20th may based off my period which would’ve made me 7 weeks also but now I am measuring 3 days behind would that mean I am due 23 may instead ? X

I measured 2 weeks behind at 7 weeks, thought for sure it was a failing pregnancy as my first positive test was 3+4. By 12 weeks she had caught up a week and she was born at 38 weeks perfectly healthy. A few days is nothing, if you have a good heart beat I’d be positive and try not to worry.

@Katie it’s only off by 3/4 days. By 12 week scan the baby may catch up with those days. Is this correct xx

Yes by 12 weeks it could have caught up, not all foetuses grow exactly as expected. Or you could have ovulated later than you realised or there is variation in how many days from fertilisation to implantation, all of these effect dating. Ultimately at your 12 week scan they will give you a new due date based on CRL. Babies are considered term from 37-42 weeks so a due date it just to give you an estimate of when baby might arrive in those 5 weeks with only 5% arriving on thier due date.

I’m sure they would have given you information if they were concerned. Try not to worry, there’s a heartbeat and they are growing!
