Fussy toddler

My LG has just turned 2 and is all of a sudden going through an extremely fussy stage. I dread meal times as the only thing she will eat is pasta in a tomato sauce and basic stuff like fish fingers / waffles etc. it’s frustrating as she won’t eat barely anything new and refuses all fruit. Anyone else going through the same and would you offer them an alternative meal or just leave them? Worried if I offer an alternative then she will just become more fussy but also don’t want her to go hungry!

Defo noticed this with my LG, all of a sudden it’s “don’t like it” to pretty much anything she used to love, but will still eat pasta and seems to be eating perfectly fine at nursery! I still make her the same as what we’re having in the hope that she will eat it, if she doesn’t I am giving her yogurt and fruit afterwards as I don’t want her up loads in the night hungry (not that it seems to help sometimes!). I’m not overly stressed about it as friends kids seem to be doing similar at this age, but I’m not offering her something totally different in the hope it goes back to normal soonish 🙂

My baby boy is 21 months and he is funny with main meals He loves peas and eats those na beans, cucumber, pasta, cheese, boiled eggs, chips, mash, roast potatoes, crisps, chocolate, biscuits, cake etc won't touch meaty things yet, I stated putting iron vitamin in his squash

Our LB has been like this since last Christmas. He was ill, then teething and then just refused. He does well at cereals, bread, crackers and diary. We have a few safe foods he will eat tea... we offer what we are having with his safe foods and always leaves our food. Frustrating but very common I have no concerns he is still growing and developing well. We use Nurture and nature vitamins

We don’t offer an alternative. They get their meal and a fruit to follow regardless of how much/little they eat.
