Hi lovely! I had a similar experience. Second twin was measuring a few days behind and they weren’t sure what would happen (dated 5+5 although I thought I was 6+1). Had a private scan a week later and was told that second sac was empty. Went for my NHS follow up the week after that, to find that the second sac wasn’t empty and baby now had a heartbeat! (1st sac had also split so we ended up with triplets though 😂). The fraternal baby has always measured slightly behind and was born the smallest (although only by an ounce), and has now overtaken one of her brothers and is gaining weight brilliantly! I’d be more than happy to message you scan photos if you wanted to compare xx
Thanks so much @Abi 🤍 what a rollercoaster of emotions this must have been for you!! Congratulations on your triplets! ✨ If you don’t mind I’d love to see your early scans please. I asked the doctor for the one on Monday but he told me best if I didn’t keep a picture cause the chances are that the small embryo won’t make it 😞 I have a private scan booked for 11/10, so fingers crossed! X
Thanks so much @Summer-Rose ! The hospital booked me for another scan on 15th. I’ll be almost 8 weeks. Hopefully good news then 🙏🏽✨
Thanks so much for sharing @Sophie 🤍 the doctor didn’t give me a picture. He said as the second embryo is so small and it’s so early on that maybe it won’t make it. I do remember there are 2 sacs so non identical twins. Just so worrying! I just wish I could guarantee both grow healthy now 🙏🏽 good shout about the placenta health! I need to feel like I can do something to help ✨🙏🏽 thanks again x
