RSV Jab Site

Hi everyone After lots of research I had the RSV jab last week. No adverse effects other than noticing the last few days the site was really itchy, then today I noticed a raised area where the jab had been done. Almost feels like an insect bite. Anyone else had similar? Thank you xx

Mines showed up with a similar rash after a few days as well, unfortunately also got nausea and headaches from it. 6 days in and I'm starting to feel better though

I had a red mark too that my husband noticed. It wasn't itchy but went after a few days

@Trisha so sorry you felt ill from it. Glad you are on the mend. X

@Joanna Thank you for sharing your experience, this is reassuring. X

I had that reaction to the whooping cough vaccine my rsv one was fine

Its a localized histamine reaction, it's a good sign! Means your body is reacting and creating those anti bodies.

I had exactly the same. Lasted about 2 weeks on or off, was worse after a shower. Midwife said was a sign I'd had a good response to the vaccine.

Happens to me every year with the flu shot, its a normal reaction to vaccines, jot everyone gets it but its very very common

I have this exact reaction now, had the RSV vaccine Friday, it's a good reaction, your body us doing what it needs to x

Had this with both my whooping cough jab and flu jab! X

I was the exact same, my injection site came up like this two days after the injection. It ended up fading over the following week and felt like a bruise!

Thank you all so much, I feel very reassured. I've never had a reaction like this before!! Good to know my body is doing what it should. Xx

Yes had exactly the same after a couple days and lasted a few days x

It is annoying but shows your body is reacting to it and building a strong immune response so you and baby will have a good immunity against it
