Growth scan

Please try not to worry! I had this with my first that I was measuring bigger, went for a scan and everything was fine!

With my pregnancy now, I’ve been told my baby has dropped in weight from my last scan (I have gestational diabetes) so I’m having to get extra scans every two weeks till baby is here. So I know how you feel! I’m sure everything will be okay 😊

Bump measurements are notoriously innacurate so try not to worry. Scan measurements are not very accurate either but a little bit better! They will also be able to check in much better on baby in a scan (e.g. blood flow to placenta) so try and see it as an extra bonus check for you and baby. If it does show anything worrying, much better to know than not. But like I say, they will just be doing it as a precaution.

I don’t think there would Be anything wrong with baby but more with placenta’s efficiency ! Don’t worry they ll monitor and if he needs to come out earlier they will advise you

It could just be they are sitting lower down so your bump is a different shape rather than smaller. Try not to worry. The scan is just to double check what's going on.
