@Sarah Did you book it through your gp ?
My understanding is that the protection passes to baby and so baby is protected from getting seriously ill in the 6 months or so post birth. Our son had RSV at a few months old and developed bronchiolitis and was very ill and ended up in hospital. So for me it’s a no brainier as wouldn’t want to go through that again - was awful!
@Tasha yeh I rang my GP and they booked me in x
@Leonie wow. So sorry to hear that
I also had it few days ago. No side effects. All good. Yes, it's about passing the antibodies to baby in the uterus so he/she is protected straight from birth. My GP didn't know anything about it, but I got a text about a walk in centre where they make my scans so that's when I've had it. Don't worry
Had mine done today, little bit groggy this evening but a nap sorted me right out. Would much rather a few hours of not feeling 100% than not try and protect baby wherever I can ❤️
I got mine, rsv can make new babies very very poorly, especially as they are being born in peak rsv/cold/flu season.
Yup, I had it weeks ago. All good here 😊
Nope
I did, my first baby had RSV at 4 months and was hospitalised on oxygen and really poorly for weeks. I was straight on the phone to book on 1st September! Xx
I got mine last week. I did a lot of research and was happy having it after 32 weeks. I had no side effects not even a sore arm I think everyone has their own opinion but I was glad I had it x
