I had a really positive induction with my 2nd baby! I was induced for mental health reasons, I went in at 1pm and they inserted the pessary, they checked me a few hours later and I was 3cm so they took out the pessary to break my waters, but before they could my waters broke on their own and within 2 and a half hours my daughter was born! We went home by 11am the next day with no issues 🫶🌸

@Olivia was it more painful, I feel I might have to have one due to reasons and I’m terrified as didn’t have one with my first x

I didn’t find it anymore painful then my first, both times I’ve only had gas and air as I labour very quickly! If you’re worried about pain always ask for your options before they induce you! They may offer you some fairly quickly x

admitted Sunday afternoon, had the tablet inserted at 4:18pm at 1 1/2cm ,started having contractions at 1am, they were every 4 mins at 5am and being picked up on the monitor at 5:45am ,I got checked at 9am and was 3cm (only having 2 paracetamol and a dihydrocodeine) was transferred to labour at 11:30am. I’ve got really bad veins so the dr came and checked me and decided that they’ll check me at 1pm where I was 6cm so they popped my waters and I asked for an epidural which took about 40 mins to work but once it did I was breezing through my labour. They checked me again at 5 and I was fully dialated at which point I decided I wanted to wait for the epidural to wear off (which you do not have to do I just wanted to feel my body birth my little girl and I wanted to feel the fetal ejection reflex) I started pushing at 6:30pm and my little girl was born at 7:03pm weighing 6.15lb. I had no complications other than needing an episiotomy which was done at 7pm due to her coming out back 2 back

@Amelie was anyone able to stay with you through the whole thing x

My partner came in with me the Sunday and had to leave at 8pm as I wasn’t in active labour but he could come back at 8am Monday and he stayed with me the whole labour , helped me shower after I finished having oxytocin and then had to leave at 12pm as I was moved back to the ward… when you’re on labour ward you can have your birthing partner(s) until moved back to the ward x
