Reflux?

My baby is 10weeeks old, she has been struggling with trapped wind/ colic, since 4 weeks. It’s meant that she’s uncomfortable in the evenings, struggled to burp. Gripe water has helped. I was hoping that 12 weeks is the turning point and her digestive system will start to mature now. However, for the last 2 days, she has started to bring up milk after every feed. I make sure I burp her and keep her upright for 30mins after a bottle. She’s combination fed, I’m wondering if the mix of breastmilk and formula is causing this? This morning she was on my shoulder, did 2 burps followed by a big sick. I feel disheartened. Is this reflux now? Anyone experienced the same ?? She never had this before? I don’t want to change her formula as I tried before and it just made her worse. Looking for moral support / advice. Thank you xx

My baby is the exact same and he’ll be 11 weeks tomorrow. It’s so sad to see them suffering. He also chokes with gripe water so it hasn’t helped - do you know if I can just add it to his milk as he will not accept it on its own at all without choking.

@Diana I know 😢, I really hope it gets better. Definitely put gripe water in her bottle, otherwise they struggle to take it in and makes them spit up more. Sending love xx

Have you tried burping more during a feed, I have to do this with my girl and keep her upright for 15-30mins post feed like you do. I also use infacol which seems to help, and have started giving her probiotic drops. I also have her crib on the relux setting which means she sleeps better (Dr advised).

My girl is burped twice during a 120ml feed and then again afterwards and then I put her over my shoulder and rub her back for about 15 minutes before I put her down. It has helped a bit

My LO had a very similar situation/ symptoms but has a cmpa. The doctor said it is now reflux due to the allergy milk being very thin. We have been given a thickener for his milk but there are specific anti reflux formulas you can buy! My LO ended up screaming in pain with it by 12 weeks but it started around 10, so I would recommend speaking to a GP or speak to your HV if she seems to be increasingly struggling x
