Twin growth🤍

Hi Mama’s! I am currently 22 weeks with my boy and girl twins🩵🩷 We had our 20 week anatomy scan and babies are both measuring 11oz each at 20+3 weeks. Is this within the healthy range? I am 5’2 and quite slim build so do often worry that babies aren’t going to be very big… anyone else similar to my frame and have healthy sized little ones? Just for peace of mind🥰💫

Hey - I’m 5’7 and normally a size 8. I’m not having twins but this showed up on my feed so thought I’d offer some reassurance. I have a small bump too and was worried about growth but actually got a random scan yesterday and baby is perfect. I’m 26W and still not big but baby is doing her thing and growing, so don’t worry! 😉

Hello! I have 9 month b/g twins. My bump was v similar to you! My bump didn’t get too big at all and prob looked like heavy singleton pregnancy at the end but I had 4lb5 girl and 5lb6 boy at 36+5. A lot of people commented on my small bump 😔 but all was fine with babies they were just packed in! Congrats 🙌 xx

I’m 5ft 1.. usually size 6 mine has a weight difference but biggest one was 5lb5 and little was 3lb8 both healthy other than jaundice both fined no nicu and home in 3 days x just because they small doesn’t mean they won’t be healthy babies x

Not a twin mum, but I had a nearly flat tummy up until 28 weeks. Then I just popped. I'm 5.1ft. I was 50kg at start of pregnancy and ended at 70kg (shit tonnes of water weight from pre-eclampsia). I had the same worry too, about not having a very big baby. She was born at 37weeks at 7.2lb! By baby was being carried transverse until 27weeks and then went breech up in my ribs. I carried weirdly, upwards rather than outwards. You're babies will do fine 🙂

I was big at this stage and im a skinny woman.. well done you

@aria I had massive water gain from pre-eclampsia too! How long did it take for you to get back down to a normal weight for you? I'm 8 weeks postpartum and it's coming off slowly 🐌 xx

Yep! I was 97lbs before I got pregnant, I worked in my OB office so my pregnancy became a science experiment for the entire office and from 5 weeks to 36 weeks when I delivered, I got ultrasounds every other day, so I watched them grow from empty sacs to full babies on that screen(: they were totally healthy, I delivered at 36w1d when I went into labor on my own the night before, I pushed out both babies and both placentas in less than 30 minutes (I thought for sure I'd need a section because of how tiny I am but I lowkey rocked that shit) my son was 6lbs0oz my daughter was 4lbs15oz and with ZERO nicu time we were all home 48 hours later 🥰 you got this!!!

I’m 5,3 and wear size 4-6 (Australian) Had a flat tummy small bikini body and didn’t gain much weight through the pregnancy aside from the babies. They were both born slightly above average and very healthy. I often look at photos and can not understand how the heck they fit in there 😅 But remember they are folded up quite snug and all your organs are pushed out of the way so they do get a fair bit of room!

For the record I’m 5 days post op and my tummy now looks like that again, I’ll be back to my normal size well before Christmas

@Emily this!! Within 2 weeks I wss back to pre-pregnancy size, and within a month back to pre-pregnancy weight!

Your hospital notes should tell you where they twins are on the percentile range. I’m sure if there was any issue you would be told about it!
